I would like to ask for a suggestion. I am facing with a backup error on vmware. I am backing up 400 VMs but when i try to backup some of them i got the error 11 system call failed. I have read lots of posts but none of them help me to solve this problem.
I am backing up over SAN.

Can any one pls guide me to resolve it ???
We use a neo400 with 3 drives. Already had to replace one drive without any problems, just setting the firmware straight for all 3. Now I had to replace another drive and after putting all backup-jobs back, still got some severe performance-issues with the replacement-drive.

Windows backup hanged at “Operation Status: 26”. Netbackup version is 7.5.0.4 on Master server and on windows client it is 7.0.1.Please find the logs below. Please let me know what might be the reason
Hi, I'm looking into using synthetic backups to back up some Server 2008 devices and I have a few questions which I can't seem to find any information on.
I notice the synthetic backup cannot do a system state backup and hence can't use SDR. How would one go about recovering a server from a synthetic backup in the case of a disaster recovery scenario?
Could you please let me know whether Netbackup 7.5.0.4 supports Sybase SP131 version?

Can you please let us know the "Prepare to restore" dependency on BMR cleanup. In our environment we are observing two different
behaviours. Some times BMR cleanup is working without initiating "Prepare to restore" any clues on this.
NBU Server : 7.6.0.4 ( Solaris )
NBU Client : 7.6.0.4 Windows 2008 Enterprise.

One of the client backup started to fail with error "could not set user id for process(31)".. Backup was running fine before.
We are using Symantec Backup Exec 2014 running on Windows Server 2012 R2
We have started experiencing an issue where the program will no longer write to tapes that are overwritable. Now, we have to scratch a tape before the program will write to it.
Please respond if you know anyway to fix this or if you have any questions.

If schedule in policy A is running, I don't want schedule in policy B to run.
Is there any way I can setup Netbackup to check for these conditions?

We do backup mulitpleVM failing with error code 13 on Netbackup 7.6.
We are running Backup Exec 2014 SP2 with hotfix 227745. The platform is Windows server 2012 R2 (media server).
For some backupjobs, which contain more than 10 servers, the job log is not in a correct XML format. A file with extension .xml is created, but it cannot be read as XML, only as a text file, which is unreadable.

I'm in trouble with the high use of MPLS link when you start DLO backup's desktops .
